Data controller
Verónica Popescu, lawyer registered under no. 2947 with the Bar Association of Pamplona. Professional address: Calle Monasterio de Belate 5 Bajo, 31011 Pamplona (Navarra), Spain. Contact: [email protected]. No Data Protection Officer has been appointed, as it is not mandatory; you may use that same address for any privacy matter.
Data processed
This website uses no first-party cookies and contains no data-collection forms. To measure use of the site we use our own tool (Matomo) hosted on our own server, configured without cookies, with the IP address anonymised and respecting your browser’s “Do Not Track” signal: the data are statistical, do not identify you and are not shared with any third party. The only personal data processed are those you choose to provide when contacting us by phone, WhatsApp or email (identity, contact details and the information about your enquiry).
Data relating to criminal offences
Given the nature of criminal-defence services, the information you provide may include data relating to criminal convictions and offences (Art. 10 GDPR) and, where necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims, special categories of data —for example health data— (Art. 9(2)(f) GDPR). This processing is carried out in the exercise of the right of defence and the provision of legal assistance, under the rules governing the legal profession and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 (LOPDGDD), with the reinforced confidentiality of professional secrecy.
Contact via WhatsApp
If you contact us via WhatsApp, processing through the app is also governed by the policy of WhatsApp Ireland Ltd. (Meta group), which may involve the transfer of data outside the European Economic Area with the safeguards of the applicable adequacy framework. We recommend that you do not include sensitive details of your case in WhatsApp messages; for that information we will use the secure channel we agree on.
Google map
The contact section may display a Google Maps map to locate the office. The map does not load until you activate it by clicking “Show the map”. Only then may Google (Google Ireland Ltd.) set its own cookies and process technical data (such as your IP address) under its privacy policy, with international transfer under the applicable adequacy framework. It is the only third-party service that can be activated on this website. Details are in the cookies policy.
Purpose and legal basis
The data provided are used solely to handle your enquiry and, where applicable, to manage the professional engagement. The legal basis is the taking of pre-contractual steps or the performance of the engagement (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and, failing that, your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), together with the bases in Arts. 9(2)(f) and 10 GDPR indicated above. All information is further protected by lawyers’ professional secrecy. No automated decision-making or profiling is carried out.
Retention and recipients
The data of those who contact us without becoming clients are kept for the time strictly necessary to handle the enquiry and for a maximum of one year. Client data are kept for the duration of the professional relationship and thereafter for the legally required periods: the duty to retain the file under the rules of professional conduct and, where applicable, the ten-year period under anti-money-laundering legislation (Law 10/2010). After those periods, the data are deleted or anonymised. Data are not disclosed to third parties except where legally required. The site is delivered through Cloudflare (content delivery network), which processes technical connection data as a processor; the Matomo analytics are hosted on our own server, with no transfer to third parties.
Your rights
You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability by writing to [email protected]. If you consider that the processing does not comply with the rules, you may lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).
